Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated: August 12, 2026
At SubCada, we are committed to transparent, fair, and hassle-free billing. This Cancellation and Refund Policy outlines how subscriptions, trial periods, cancellations, and refund requests are handled.
Merchant of Record Notice
Polar handles subscription payments as our Merchant of Record, including applicable tax collection and payment receipts. Contact SubCada support for product assistance and refund requests.
1. 14-Day Free Trial
We provide a full 14-day free trial on all subscription plans so you can test document tracking, automated reminders, and subcontractor upload links before committing financially.
- You will not be charged during the 14-day trial period.
- You may cancel at any point during your trial with zero fee.
- At the conclusion of the 14-day trial, your subscription will renew at the standard monthly plan rate ($29/month for Starter or $49/month for Professional) unless canceled prior to the trial end date.
2. How to Cancel Your Subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time with immediate effect on auto-renewal. There are two simple ways to cancel:
- In-App via Billing Settings: Log in to your SubCada dashboard, navigate to Settings > Billing, and click Manage Subscription to access the customer billing portal.
- Via Polar Customer Portal: Click the self-service management link included in any of your Polar email transaction receipts or invoice emails.
- By Emailing Support: Contact our team at support@subcada.com and we will assist in canceling your renewal.
Access after cancellation: When you cancel, you will continue to have full access to your account and subcontractor data until the end of your prepaid monthly billing period. Your account will not be billed again.
3. Refund Policy
Because SubCada offers a 14-day free trial allowing customers to evaluate the service risk-free prior to payment, payments made after the trial are generally non-refundable.
However, we treat customers fairly and will gladly issue refunds under the following circumstances:
- Billing Errors or Duplicate Charges: If you were billed twice or charged in error due to a technical glitch.
- Service Outages or Deficiencies: If persistent technical issues prevented you from utilizing the service as intended, and our support team was unable to resolve them.
- Statutory Cancellation Rights: Where applicable by mandatory consumer protection law (such as the EU/UK 14-day statutory withdrawal period for consumers).
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please send an email within 14 days of the transaction date to:
SubCada Customer Support
Email: support@subcada.com
Please include your account email, company name, and the transaction ID or invoice number from your receipt.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Polar. Processing time depends on the payment method and financial institution.
