CSV import

Map columns, preview validation, and import contact records.

What it is and why it helps

Import contact records and document dates from a CSV spreadsheet. The importer does not upload document files.

How to use it

  1. Export your spreadsheet as CSV; XLSX workbooks are not accepted.
  2. Open Import and select the file.
  3. Check suggested mappings for name and email; optionally map contact, phone, document type, and expiration.
  4. Review Validation & Data Preview, then import valid rows.
  5. Read the completion summary and download any error report.

Columns and dates

Each row needs a company name and valid email. Common headings are suggested, but verify them. Common date formats are normalized; unrecognized dates can be omitted, so review the resulting records.

Recognized document types attach that requirement. Missing or unknown types fall back to an available default type. An imported expiration alone does not make a document current without a file.

Duplicates and capacity

Later duplicate emails within the file are skipped. Existing workspace contacts with matching emails are reused rather than recreated.

Import requires current billing access and remaining roster slots. Rows are sliced to available capacity, including rows for existing contacts; excess rows are skipped and reported. Review the summary rather than assuming all valid rows were applied.
