What it is and why it helps
A document combines a requirement, current file, dates, and notes. Replacing its file creates another stored version rather than overwriting the previous file.
How to use it
- Open a company's Documents tab.
- Choose Edit Document to upload or update expiration and notes.
- Choose a file, review the date, and save.
- Use Download to open the current file through a temporary download link.
File rules
Compliance uploads accept PDF, JPG, and PNG up to 10 MB. Choose the intended requirement. A person enters the expiration date; SubCada does not extract or verify policy information.
Uploaded files without expiration dates calculate as current, even for expiration-tracking types. Enter the real date to enable renewal reminders.
Uploading from a request
Open the contractor's link, select a file, and enter the expiration date when that field is shown. No account is required. A successful upload confirms receipt and marks that link used.
Ask the contractor for a fresh request if the page reports an invalid, expired, or used link. Keep links private.
Editing and removing
Editing expiration updates the document and current version. Replacement uploads create a new version. Both reset recorded reminder intervals for future follow-up.
Removing a requirement deletes document records; archiving a company preserves them. Do not assume removal immediately erases all stored files. Contact support for erasure requests. The UI downloads the current file rather than providing a full historical-file browser.
